Remember the oh-so-sexy Bugatti 16C Galibier ? Remember its amazing looks, gorgeously simple interior, and W16 engine ? Yeah, it's not going to be made, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
I has the biggest of sads.

Figured that. I wanna be sad about this but I just can't be. It doesn't make sense for anyone to want to make this car. I'm surprised it even got past the prototype stage.

Ehhh, I'm really not a fan of Bugatti styling, this is probably a good thing.
Hopefully, their next incarnation of the veyron can be a little more lambo... and a whole lot less bentley.

This month EVO wrote its release was pushed back 'til after the New Veyron replacement but definitely still a go. It was first considered to be brought before the new Veyron, but this would relinquish the "Fastest car" crown for a period. This would be unacceptable. EVO>Motor Trend.
Edit re Veyron: They also revealed, more attention to aero, the engine will retain the W config, be punched out, and produce 1500hp. 270mph expected.

Of course not.
someone else should now rip off the general design, and sell it for 30-40K with normal mainstream construction materials.
The design is too gorgeous to go to waste, and while it may not have a 16 cylinder engine, or a double center hinged hood, it is a straight-forward clean design that could be stamped in steel as affordably as any current mainstream car.

Let's pretend this thing costs 2 mil. At that price you could coach build your own super sedan. Sure, it isn't a bugatti, but it'd be rad.

This is Bugatti we're talking about, they've got a lot more in common with Bentley than Lamborghini.

The Veyron doesn't make much sense either when you think about it.

That is a rather garish Panamera.

But it hasn't got the styling of a Panamera. So it's all good.

I thought vag owned all of them?
Also, as far as luxury cars go, the veyron is as featureless as you can get while still being deemed "luxurious"

Wait, it's got an engine that's insanely powerful yet smooth, it's crazy fast and handles well while still being usable and comfortable and it's beautifuly made, what more do you want ? A fridge ? It's not a Maybach.

Stop and think rationally for a second. Would you credit any sports car for having lots of power and handling as a luxury car because of those features? Similarily, would you credit an economy car as having luxury features if it operated smoothly?
Hell, many economy cars come with better media center interfaces/etc then the veyron.
While it may be damn fast/well built vehicle, these features do not make a luxury car.
