Sorry to see the show end, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it while it was on the air. Looking forward to the series finally.

they just mentioned on comedy central.com that Ken Keeler has written 4 Futurama finales.

All of the finales were like that. The times Futurama was off air it was never cancelled mid season or on short notice. All of the finales were written because the creators didn't know if they would be able to find somebody to buy any more of the show. That's pretty much the case now too, although granted that this time there's less chance that anyone will step up to pick up the show again. Sucks.

and yet family guy goes on with the same three not funny jokes. why don't they ever bring back or remake good shows like bj and the bear?
