You mean this is a Japanese Firebird? Are you sure it's not the E-spec?

Well, it's IN Japan. Therefore, JDM.

Wait what? These cars were different (and sold well?) over-seas? Also, nice '78.

Dunno about Japan but E-spec F-bodies and Corvettes have different tailights due to traffic laws. There are also a few minor differences (e.g. glass).
Also, yes, Firebirds are cool here. They sold kinda well (for what they were) until 1996, when GM decided to pull all cars that weren't sold under the Opel/Vauxhall or Chevrolet moniker from Euro markets (except for the Cadillac Seville). The Firebird was replaced with the Camaro, the Trans Sport gained a bowtie stuck over its Pontiac grille (true story), the Buick Park Avenue was replaced by a special version of the Oldsmobile Alero featuring bowties, and the Cadillac Eldorado stopped being sold here. Newer people (i.e. my age and similar) possibly don't remember them, but I do know that back in the day it was the shit.

$12k US for the Dodge! Wow!
Looks like it needs some work to be ready for the D-Van Gran Prix.

Thanks for the link. Look at the tiny mirrors and the chrome side markers! This car also has the incorrect front grilles. I do want a pair of those JDM taillights though.

Me too. I'm a sucker for amber rear lamps.

JDM=Japan Domestic Manufacture. Since I doubt Trans-Ams were assembled in Japan, you're looking at an export-spec Poncho.
