I don't mind the occasional NSFW post, but I feel like there's getting be an awful lot of that going on right now. As in too much. As in overly gratuitous. Am I the only one who feels this way?
I'm going to single out one example: the elephant humping the car we saw earlier today. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The picture was funny and on-topic (cars + hump day). But then, lets add some T+A to the mix! That'll be fun! (Sorry, Yowen, I don't mean to rag on you personally but I just felt that this was a good example of too much.)
I'm not proposing that we instate some rules or that we moderate the NSFW away. It's just that browsing a forum where half the post titles contain "NSFW" makes the entire site less acceptable at work, even when nothing inappropriate is being shown. And I don't want to have to give up visiting here when I supposed to be working.

I've been thinking this and was getting awfully close to this rant.
I'm all for some fun and I appreciate that people keep it after the jump, but that's not why I'm on Jalopnik/Opposite Lock. Let's be honest here people it's readily available ALL OVER THE INTERNET if you really need some NSFW content....isn't it like 95% of the internet or something?

there are guidelines to follow if you want to post NSFW items that one must follow:
"Just a friendly reminder, if any of your photos could be deemed NSFW (Not Suitable for Work) Please- 1) Tell us in the post title and 2) put them after the "jump" or in the reply section. Also we recommend placing a "safe" picture as your lead picture." - Automatch 2013

I don't think BJ is meaning that people aren't following the guidelines, but that he/she wants a community in OPPO that is more about sharing random NSFW images.

Everyone seems to be doing an exemplary job of following the guidelines, and this is appreciated. But this type of content might be off-putting to some, and recently I've found that there's been a bit too much.

Totally agree. I am glad those NSFW are labeled as such and have a safe photo in the front so I have a choice not to look at it. I do not look at porn so I might be biased so if you do use porn why not do it all over the rest of the internet?

Honestly. There's maybe two posts a day, at most, usually... And it's two particular people, usually. They are pretty good at taste; it could be a lot worse. I find it pretty mild, and typically they have pretty good taste.
If you don't like it, ignore it. If you can't do that, go read Jalop and AutoBlog, maybe a little Gawker or Jezebel.

Yes. Really. I wouldn't have taken the time to write something if I wasn't serious.
It's not the fact that it's there, but the quantity of it that's been bothering me, especially over the past couple of days. Maybe it was just a blip. And it's not because it's "mild" or "tasteful" that it's more or less acceptable.
As others have mentioned, we come here to talk cars and trucks. It'd be nice if that could stay the focus.

The NSFW stuff ain't my bag either.
I don't have a problem with it as long as it's tagged NSFW.
From where I sit at my computer, my wife has a perfect view of my screen when she is watching TV.....I'm pretty sure she ain't gonna dig me pulling up NSFW pictures.
