That's a pretty terrible picture of me but if I'm hiring, I care.
My take on it is if you don't care enough to use the language correctly, what else are you going to skimp on?

If it was, that's fine. However, the prevalent "Who cares?" attitude these days is what I was reacting to. I can guarantee that it won't get you a job in my department at COTA.
Also, I hope the misspelling and incorrect word choice were for comedic effect. Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell on the internet. One man's clever joke is another man's perfectly acceptable CL used car ad.

You're probably right. There's always a good chance that a ignored auto-correct means I'll skimp on etiquette and break my own rule of always being polite in Oppo.
I hope this isn't what your applications look like, I've seen more detailed forms for volunteer work.
