From that one onboard it looks like the 6 truck is indeed to blame. Drove it in too hard, back end stepped out, bumped into Max resulting in the 6 spinning and Max in the grass. Did you watch the race and if so do you agree with that assessment?

But if you look just before the hit (again, I didn't see any other angle so I can only go off the roof shot) Skeen was sideways before the contact. If not for running into Papis he would have spun on his own. It also looks to me like Papis left a little room on the inside for Skeen.

This is what I'm talking about, freeze frame just before the contact. Papis left room on the inside, Skeen dove into it too hard and is already sideways here.

I agree, but Papis has done this to enough people that I'm not surprised it's finally happened to him. He has very little respect for his competition, as most one-off road drivers do in NASCAR these days.

I'm not gonna pretend to be a lawyer here, and I'm also not gonna pretend to know what the laws in the state this happened in say about assault and battery. But in mine , she wouldn't even have to hit him. She could just be moving toward him shouting ,"Hey buddy, I'm gonna kick your ass!" it would qualify as assault.
'Guys can't hit girls' are social rules, not legal ones. Socially, hitting a woman half a foot shorter than you looks bad. To a televised audience, it looks even worse. To police officers and a judge, it would be a case of assault and self defense. If it happened where I live, there would be no 'book' to throw.

Interesting. I don't even know what the rules in my state are for such things. Yeah, the 'guys can't hit girls' thing is definitely a social one.
