I know noob question but I got pissed that kinja had such little support. Now that I'm posting sometimes in oppo, do I need to recommend each reply for it to show up? I don't mean to be ignoring people, just don't understand all this recommendation nonsense.

If they're authors they can post and they will automatically show up. If they're lurkers without privileges then you'll have to reply or recommend them.

Not sure exactly what you are saying, but if you are an author, your posts and comments should show. If other comments are not showing, they may not be approved commenters and you can "recommend" them and/or "follow" them. You must follow within a certain time of the post or the button goes away.Ask one of the moderators about this as I may be wrong.

Yeah that's the issue. Fix one problem by making another. Great engineering right there.
