Gotta love the next-day delivery offered by the Brazilian postal service: I ordered a new radiator last Tuesday, and it won't be here before Monday. Next day my ass... But at least it will get here within next week or so. I'm planing on installing it wednesday afternoon and if the car's mechanically solid, drive to a local shop for bodywork. Hopefully I'll be able to straighten all of the stock panels, instead of having to buy the aftermarket crap I've been offered as OEM thousands of times already.

Damn, I just hope this nightmare ends soon...

Ouch, I know how that feels. A couple weeks ago my radiator started spraying coolant out of the seam between the radiator body and the top. So I ordered a new radiator and hoses and a thermostat to install on the weekend, and had them send these parts to my office so I wouldn't miss the delivery. The hoses and stuff arrived on Wednesday, but the radiator was not in yet. Thursday, no luck. Friday all day, I'm wandering up front about every half-hour, "is it here yet? is it here yet?", no luck. It's 4:45 PM and I get up from my desk to have a cup of coffee, full of disappointment because there's no way I can do the repair on a work day. At 4:50 PM I get back to my desk and the receptionist has dropped off the package they had delivered twelve minutes before closing time. Yes!

Putting it in, that was ridiculous! You'd think replacing a radiator on a front-engine car would be pretty simple as car repairs go, but between all the rusted and cross-threaded bolts and the horrid Florida rain and steam-heat on and off all day Saturday and Sunday, it was a real workout for my faculty of profanity. But I drove my fixed car into work on Monday morning. I hope you get your FIAT back on the road soon!
