I've seen a few posts about Purdue cars lately. I was poking around Instagram and found @boilerwhips. If anyone is bored and wants to see some of the stupidly ridiculous cars at Purdue University, most student driven I might add, check them out on Instagram.

No thanks - I'll just be depressed for the rest of the day.

Wow, I never saw a Ferrari around campus as a Purdue student.
Usually, There are GT-Rs, Porsches, lots of BMWs/Mercs/Audis, and few other cars around the $100k mark typically driven like asshats. There was even a club called STATUS, which put a big banner on the side of the windshield, and all cars were $50k at least except for one R32. It was like a little puppy dog trying to keep up with rich douches.

I remember flipping my shit when I saw a brand new e46 M3 at my school. I guess I just wasn't rich enough to get an education that is that good.

The "cool car" to drive on my campus is a Prius. I remember during a Chevy Test Drive event, the "Drive a Chevy Volt" line was consistently 3-4x longer than any other car, including the Sonic RS Turbo or the Camaro SS.

When I was at Purdue I remember seeing a GT-R that some prick drove like an idiot. It got keyed to hell and he didn't seem to care. But my guess is that it got keyed because he drove like a douche and had no care for his fellow man.
I also saw a beautiful M6 when I was there. I fell in love with it every day I came home from class.

what horrible car-god forsaken school did you attend?!

You and I probably saw the same GT-R. That dude used to fly down Northwestern during the middle of the day when students would be constantly crossing the street.

It's not so much that Purdue is a 'rich' school. There are a bunch of wealthy students there, for sure, but most are average.
However, since Purdue is renown for engineering and technology, it has (at least when I was there) the second highest foreign student population in the nation. So, if mommy and daddy are rich enough to send you half-way around the world for an education, they are often rich enough to buy you whatever car you want while you're a student too. This is a bit of a generalization, though.

Was it the white one that had a bunch of stickers? Also that m6 was awesome, it used to park over by Knoy hall when I was there

I think it was white but don't remember stickers. And the M6 lived in my apt complex so I was "tortured" daily by its beauty.
