The most annoying thing about by Grand Marquis is that there is no pass through from the trunk into the cabin. This makes it impossible to use when buying 2x4s or pipe or basically anything that comes in 8-10ft. lengths. Drives me up a wall. Oh well I guess thats why I have a trailer.

That is one thing that annoys me about mine. 20.6 cubic feet of trunk space, but not always usable. Shame that gas tank is where it is.

Have you ever looked into roof bars? I have looked a little bit but have never found a set that was designed for the panther roof.

Never looked. The most cumbersome thing I've had to move was my bike. I just pop off the front wheel and it fits on the back floor.
