I really liked this, but then I saw the Fairlady Z steering wheel and was deeply saddened.
IT'S A SKYLINE NOT A Z YOU TOOL!

Oh, but that's a classic mod. The Datsun Sport wheel is actually rare and coveted over there. Very common skyline mod...you should know that!

Personally I really love a wood Nardi wheel in a Hakosuka...you can almost never go wrong with a wooden Nardi wheel in anything vintage Japanese.

Guess I be damned then. That poor C10. I guess it's a "thing" to make your car look amateurish and poorly done. Some people would kill for a mint, factory fresh looking C10 GT-R or even 2000.
Someone tell me this was a salvage title/accident car so I can sleep tonight. If it wasn't lie to me.
I'll buy up one of your brothers and restore it to make up for what they've done to you.
But in all seriousness. This obviously isn't for me but someone finds it appealing and that's ok.

Agreed, and in fact I think Nardi wheel is the ultimate steering wheel . If my Celica's original steering wheel hadn't been so cool (it's black leather and says "CELICA TURBO") I'd get a black leather Nardi wheel for it. My mom's '91 Miata (which is the very classic sportscar-inspired Limited Edition) has a wooden Nardi wheel, and it's perfect for the car (so much that it was a factory option for the JDM model).

Why amateurish and poorly done? I don't see that at all. I see a long term project nearing the final stretch (which it is). Poorly done is one thing this car is not. It may not be your cup of tea, but calling it things it's not is unnecessary.

Rocky Auto is the rough punk disco of JDM.

Then that puts it into the unfinished category. Which is fine. I tend to want to hide away a project from public view until it's completely finished. I find it more fun to talk about the finished product than explaining what I plan to do and why it's not finished. Two schools of projects. The "WOW, the last time I saw it I thought it was two seconds from being an on-fire mess. Now it looks AMAZING and finished" is one. The incremental "hey it looks a little better than last time, you're making progress" is the second.
Kind of like if someone started cutting their hair an 1/8th of an inch every day for a couple weeks. You'd be hard pressed to notice a difference, but give a before and after picture an you can tell. But if you just shave it off and people see a full head one day and bald the next, you get an immediate and profound response in comparison.
I like the drop you on your tail "WOW!" response myself.
