They still have those one-lane sections with stoplights and multiple construction stops? After picking up the SLS I took some of the Blue Ridge Parkway until I hit Boone then quickly realized "I'd made a huge mistake" and took a longer route home. Which was a shame because those roads are a blast.

The "major" roads are fairly free of construction obstruction.

Still pretty much 95% two-lane, so passing lines and lanes are important to note.

Overall I'd say a car can be thoroughly road-tested on this course. A checkpoint rally would be superb for this. Mathematically legal.

(Anyone else: It's roads that they put when there's no budget for going through, over or removing a mountain. Just go around.)

*Disclaimer: I wuz raised takin' these curves in a Ford LTD wagon 'fer larning mah driver's license. The vehicular dynamics and soft suspension of said land yacht proved to be an adaptable skill set to more capable vehicles.
