I don't understand license plate blocking. What nefarious acts are you protecting yourself from by blocking it? People can see your license plate on the road all the time.

I don't see any point in blurring a license plate on something common, say a fairly new, stock Toyota Accord. But if the car is somewhat rare, or has a bunch of money in modifications, etc., I can't imagine a good reason to post information on the internet that could allow a potential thief to track down the location of said vehicle.
