So I just watched the "How it's Made" episode profiling the Jaguar F-Type, and now I want one. Do you think it's bucket list worthy?

I think any car can be bucket list worthy. A bucket list is a personal preference thing. It wouldn't be on my list but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be on yours

It's hard to tell how good a thing actually is when it has just come out and is getting plenty of hype, a lot of cars I lusted after have seemed ordinary a few years later after the new and the hype wore off.

The fact that Clarkson panned the ride as much as he loves Jags makes me wonder if it's not quite there and the next version will be the one to get.

Yeah I'll have to wait like ten years to be able to afford one anyway. I'll have to see hold it holds up against time. Maybe it'll be an another XK8?

I really, really want one.

I'd get a V6S (probably on the used market, by the time I'll be able to afford one they won't be selling them new).

If they haven't made a manual I'd swap one in, then I'd gut all the unnecessary electric motors and suchlike. Put it on a weight loss program until it's 1400kg or below.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'll have to buy an older used Jag if I buy one, I still foolishly lust after the XK even though I know it'll kill my wallet. I saw one last week and just stared as it went by.
