Like most of us I've had plenty of jobs, but one of my most memorable jobs was that of truck driver. I used to drive trucks during my college summers in the Detroit area. Typically the work involved delivering to various car factories, particularly during tooling changes. I'll never forget driving my truck inside the Ford Rouge Factory where Mustangs were built until 2004. It was dark, dank, and looked like a lair for arch villains (more on that in a second) and not a place where cars were built, yet they were cranking out Mustangs.
After the demise of the Probe and MX-6, Ford moved its production from the Rouge Plant to Flat Rock. I remember delivering to Flat Rock as well and it appeared to be a pretty modern facility, though nowhere near as nice as Lincoln's plant in Wixom.
Ford is rightfully proud to announce 1,00o,000 Mustangs being built at Flat Rock, but they should have hired this guy for the occasion:
