This is a picture of the Payload Canister Transporter that I found on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . These were used to carry the payload canisters from their assembly point to the vehicle assembly building. While not quite as impressive as the crawler-transporter, this is still a pretty cool vehicle. Like the crawler it has operator cabs on each end, and can hydraulically level itself and adjust its height. It was capable of carrying the payload canisters either vertically or horizontally. The wheels are independently steerable and allow the PCT to crab sideways or turn within its own length. This is not quite as large or heavy as the crawler-transporter with a curb weight a little under 150,000 pounds as opposed to 6,000,000. Here are some spots for more information and picture goodness.
