The photography page has gotten quite big, and this got me thinking about starting another page...
I was wondering if anyone wants to help put together another sub-forum page that is more focused on the Canadian car industry/car culture since I take it there are a lot of Canadians on here. There are plenty of cars for only the canadian market, the laws can be quite different than the states. We can also try organizing a cars and coffee or meetups around. I know that, if he is willing, Victorious is in Alberta, I am in Toronto, ON, and I am sure there will be others around that are willing to organize meetups around their local areas.
I just think that it would be interesting and fun to keep the Canadian car culture alive and growing. Especially since we get looked over a lot of the time. This could either become big, or nothing could come of it, who knows? Just a suggestion

I don't think we really need one. We could just Canadian related posts with "Canada" (or my preferences, "Canadalopnik" and "Hoser").
Also, former Torontonian, current Ottawan here.

We don't really NEED another Canadian sub forum, heck, Europeans use the Oppo page without any problems.
If you're willing to, by all means I can help out, but I think it's not as necessary as an entire forum dedicated to a completely different topic.

It's not that we NEED one per se, but I thought it would be nice to have a little community with Canadian Opponauts. It was just a thought that I had that I wanted to share and see what people thought about the idea.

I think it segregates us a bit, but your idea for Canadian Oppo meetups seems awesome, and the Canoppo page could be the only way a Canadian meetup could work. I'm a bit torn on this.

Canoppo would be a funny name for it. But yeah I understand your feeling that it would segregate us a bit. If Canoppo becomes a thing though, users can still go visit and post on regular oppo and Jalopnik, and whatever other Kinja blogs they visit. Its the same as Photography. They cross post to oppo, people head over there while also visiting oppo alot. I still see some posts about some photography subjects on oppo sometimes.

I'm not sure we need a separate subforum, maybe just a canada specific tag that would allow people to filter the content on occasion.
