Welcome to Daily Drive, Track, Or Burn! 3 choices, 3 cars, you know what to do.

Summer is over and it's time to start going to class again. Since good class schedules are for chumps, I have massive blocks of time between classes which means you guys get these again.

I don't actually remember what I wrote the last article was about so we'll just say that the Mazda Miata won daily drive and track and the Mercedes R class got burnt.

Today I've chosen three cars that I've seen around campus recently. Get ready to judge what my fellow Aggies drive.

Kinja'd!!!

1. The Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible

As if the regular Hot wheels Camaro wasn't enough of a gimmick, behold the unabashed monstrosity that is the convertible version. For an extra $7k on top of the 2LT edition you get 21 inch wheels, some performance tires, and three buckets worth of Hot Wheels badges. Oh, and a scale model of it to put on your mantle. It still has the same 323 bhp, RWD, and an optional manual transmission. Is that enough to save it?

2. The Mercedes Benz C63 AMG

I've actually seen two of these this week. They never get old. With 451 hp and 443 torques going through the back wheels its sure to be plenty of fun whenever you hit the throttle, as long as you can live with MB's flappy paddle gearbox. I know I could. I can almost taste the massive, massive burnouts.

This image was lost some time after publication.

3. The Corvette C6 Grand Sport

This one is actually driven by my next door neighbor. Who happens to be female. And attractive. Like really, really attractive.

But its an automatic so she can fuck off. She also parks next to my car and it makes my car look fat. Anyways, its still an awesome machine with 430 horses and one of the best V8's in the business. Two seaters are the best seaters and this one rockets off to 60 in around four seconds.

I'm going to complain about how easy of a choice that was for me. Dealwithit.gif

I'm aware of how easy it is, but you can't see a Hot Wheels Camaro and not write about it.

I was really torn between my daily drive (AMG) and track (Corvette). If it was the 2014 Corvette, I think they would have flipped.

Obviously going to daily the Mercedes. Not so obviously going to track the Camaro, for a couple reasons.

1. Manuel.

2. Because nobody will take me seriously, and I think that's kind of fun.

3. I like burning automatic Corvettes.

The Camaro has no visibility, and the orange track pieces aren't included. Fuck that.

I would only track the Camaro if there were giant sponge wheels powered by a million D cell batteries to propel me.

Otherwise, let my childhood burn!

I am going to argue your selection and point reasons why the obvious choice is wrong.

Honestly, I kinda just want to do all three to the Mercedes.

Good on the track(track), comfortable (DD), automatic (burn)

Wow....I'm surprised I was one of the few who wanted to Daily the Grand Sport.

Why DD the AMG? It's insane, you need to let it loose in a location that allows insanity.

Ah well, I'll be blocking the racing lines of the Vettes as I drift around the corners. See ya there

Because living every day with the glorious AMG sound. Also the most practical car.

IMO, the Hot Wheels edition can also be hand with the SS V8 models, not just the V6s. So more like 425-ish hp and six-speed goodness (never get the V8 auto in that 'Maro). So believe it or not, here's decision.

DD Camaro (if it's the convertible, if not then Corvette).

Track AMG because angry car needs somehere to go.

Burn Vette because I really like Hot Wheels.

I'm an American car guy through and through so I picked camaro to DD, Vette to track, and MB to burn. Sorry Germany, nice try.

More comfortable, nicer, better looking.

C6 is lighter and probably more direct on a racetrack. I see your point, though.

I see a Hot Wheels edition coupe pretty much every day and I have to say it looks pretty damn good on the street. However, I'm going to DD the GS, Track the psycopath AMG ("He who finishes last shall..."), Burn the 'Maro.

Recap:

DD: Corvette GS

Track: MB C63 AMG

Burn: Hot Wheels Camaro

I said I would track the Vette and Daily the AMG, but really I'd mothball the Vette and use the AMG for everything. After I was done laughing maniacally at the smoldering wreck that is the stupid, stupid Camaro.

I had my car waxed last week and there was a shiny black beast on the parking lot, and what really confused me that for good 10 minutes until I came close to the car I could not examine whether the car is C63 AMG or SL black (SL currently I believe is only 55 AMG, no 63 with current model), the car does not look like a C coupe at all with black paint and AMG body.
