Howdy Opponauts. Herein is the post where you tell us about your weekends, except for the parts where you woke up in a pile of shame and vomit, or in the bed of an ugly woman/man or both.
Friday - Not much happened for me on Friday. Noticed an increasing "squeak" coming from the right rear on Grimace, but that had to wait until Saturday because my wife and kid were sick.
Saturday - Diagnosed Grimace's squeak. Turns out some idiot put one of the drake drum springs on in the wrong location and it was touching the axle shaft. After that was remedied, a thorough cleaning of the interior and exterior of Grimace was conducted in preparation for Sunday.
Sunday - Went to the Xtreme Motorworks Open House that I mentioned on here. Didn't stay too long, as we had friends in from Spokane that we met up with right after. Saw some nice cars there.
All in all, a pretty lax weekend. My kid really likes riding in Grimace though, ad we won 2 hats at the raffle on Sunday, so it was a nice daddy/daughter day for us.
So, now it's your turn. Tell us about your weekend!

Tuning and datalogging. Turns out I spend a lot of time at part throttle just above 2.5k RPM, which the dyno tuner guy didn't spend much effort on.

That black and pink model a = puketastic
On Friday I got 2 new tires for Bullmobile, got them mounted and the supplies to buff out the Soul. I stayed up way to late. Wife was out of town so I spent a few hours buffing the scratches out of her car.
On Saturday I did some more buffing. Took the boy out for ice cream and sat around reading because it was too damn hot.
On Sunday I wired a new outlet between the garage doors. There was one above the second bay for a garage door opener. I just turned that into a junction box and ran some wire to a new box. I managed to disconnect the back half of each leaf spring from Rat-L-Trap. Also, I mowed 90% of the lawn.

i was hoping to spend all day at the sand dunes doing this
But instead spent all day inside painting, half of it in my underwear since I had to go out in a monsoon and clear my gutters without a rain jacket. What a day.

Went to a friends kids one year old's birthday party, it was a special kind of hell. I'm starting to suspect that this friend doesn't in fact like me very much.

My dad needs a car to get to work, so I went with him on Saturday to check out a black 2007 Accord V6 EX-L sedan that was priced at just under $11k and had 93k miles on it. We found our way to the dealer's used car center (which is near its Honda dealership and classic car dealership) and sat in the car after a salesman came out to greet us. We weren't satisfied by the condition of the car's interior, so the salesman directed us to a gray 2004 Accord EX-L V6 sedan they just got that was otherwise identical to the black 2007 Accord, but that had 115k miles on the clock as well as a price of under $9k.
We took it for a test drive, and aside from an iPod connector that the previous owner put in a storage compartment (the lid to which doesn't close) without considering how tough it would be to remove given how it's installed, we liked it. It had power, a great ride, new tires and front brake rotors, and a clean Carfax - it basically looked mint, and my dad was impressed enough by the car that he wound up buying it even though we'd only gone to look that day.

Glad to hear Grimace is still up and kicking!
I actually spent some quality time with my own Ceilca and mine and my dad's Mini Honda swap project (that's been going for the better part of a decade).
