I've seen the video, it truly was a "shit happened" deal. Not intentional and part of the hazards, 2" further away and he would've missed completely.

Hmm, it was the wheel that took the actual impact and then pushed him over, so he should be fine. The red car stopped just over the line that I assume marks out his pit box as well, and then got quite a lot of wheelspin setting off, which pushed the tail out further (they may have mentioned that in commentary, I didn't have sound on). I'd say it's a racing incident, as it were.
I wish they'd just announce it, so all this daft speculation about Alonso and Räikkönen going to Red Bull would stop. Ricciardo is almost certainly getting that seat. The rest is just people playing Fantasy F1 and expecting it to actually happen.
Why those douches thought anyone at an F1 event would take them seriously, I don't know...

IMO, if they were really serious about safety they should have also penalized Power's crew for not being aware of his surroundings on a hot pit lane (it isn't like his back was turned). He failed to attempt to avoid Dixon, that's unacceptable.
And in such an instance, they should have still penalized Dixon for creating a situation where the other crew member needed to avoid him.

i'm of two minds on the pit deal...while Dixon is responsible for controlling his car , the crew member appeared to me to be passive-aggressively in the way ,trying to force Dixon to go around him.
