Welcome to Strangelist! The new segment in which I (or we, if you join), post all of the strange finds in the car section of your local classifieds.
I would like to start off by apologizing for the horrendous graphic. I have no idea how to use Photoshop. I made this using Microsoft PowerPoint and a screenshot. I'm sure anyone could make a better one. But for now, it'll do.
I'd love for this to be a daily segment. But we will have to see what happens. I will post the day before's finds. For instance, all cars I find on the 23rd will be listed on the 24ths post. Without further ado, let's begin!
First, we have a rare, not custom !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! *.
Listed for sale at $16,500 with 36,400 miles, this is number 548 (out of 1200). It does have an automatic transmission and has been babied its whole life.
I found it cool because I never heard of this special edition.
I love how the word "fahrenheit" is made to look like the Porsche lettering.
Next, we have a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Unlike that VW, this has had a hard life. Basically a Subaru with a Saab front and rear, only 10,000 were made. This one has been lowered, painted, tuned, and tinted.
Shockingly, it was driven for around 160,000 miles. There is no asking price, but instead the owner is looking for trades for "s2000, g35, 350z, is300, rsx, civic si, tsx, mazda speed3, lifted chevy or gmc" so really, anything you have.
Why is it interesting? This was a Saab. A car bought by people who cared about class and not conforming to the German car standards. This should be a car that was babied, left bone stock, and driven very gently. This one wasn't. Who does this to a Saab? It almost hurts more than what Vampire Weekend did to those beautiful convertibles.
Last, we have a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Now, you may be wondering why it has a Chevy badge up front. The reason is because it has a bit of every version of this car. The front is off a 2000 Chevy Blazer.
The interior is out of an Oldsmobile Bravada.
That means that the seats are full power and heated. It is also tinted and has been lowered 3" all around.
The engine has about 130,000 miles on it and recently got a new fuel pump and tune up. The asking price for the Mr. Potato Head of SUVs? $2500.
Why is it interesting? This truck started life as a GMC. That was the middle of the pack version. It meant you were better than the Chevy, but weren't old or classy or rich enough for the Oldsmobile. Why one would put the front end of a lesser model on the front beats me. The interior I understand though. It is more luxurious and all snaps into place perfectly.
* The VW shown was not posted on 8/23. It was posted on 8/20. I simply wanted to put three cars into one segment though, which is why it is here.

I love this idea! I'd contribute, but since Richard Beardfuck Branson won't let me use my ”unlimited” mobile broadband to tether to my laptop out of fear that it will sink his private caribbean island or w/e, it's a bit fickly rounding up ads.

Here are some I could find:
Mercedes Firetruck / camper - 5.750 euro
Ford F650 project car . This may not be a strange car in the US, but over here this thing is very uncommon to see (not sold here./not even sure its legal)
Even weirder is seeing it in this shape.

I completely agree! I love that car, and like I said, that is one that should be babied its whole life.. who does that to a Saab?
I found a great, untouched one with 65,o00 miles on it for only $8500, and that was much better than this
