A couple months ago I got a new travel mug because my old one got tired and decided to crack. So I bought a Contigo Randolph travel mug from Walmart. Here is my review after a few months of daily usage and some occasional hooning.

Exterior: 5/10

It's a coffee mug. Mine is blue and the lid/handle is black with a blue accent. Contigo is printed on the mug body in a lighter shade of blue and also embossed into the handle.

Interior: 9/10

I don't fit, so couldn't test the comfort. There doesn't appear to be much comfort, it is a bare stainless steel interior without any upholstery to speak of. And at 16 fluid ounces there isn't room for an infant much less a fully grown adult. Since it is bare stainless steel it doesn't affect the taste of my coffee at all which is quite a good thing. I would prefer a 20 oz. mug, but unfortunately I can't find one that will work with my coffee maker. The insulation is quite frankly astonishing. It is vacuum insulated and manages to keep coffee hot for a shockingly long time. Think hours if the cup is full. I once forgot that I had a cup of coffee in progress and some indeterminate amount of time later it was still very hot. The length of time it will keep coffee hot leads me to a downside. I can't warm my hands up on the mug. There is something quite comforting about holding a warm cup of coffee and you miss that with this mug. Since I can't warm up my hands I had to dock it a few points. Since it keeps my coffee warm for hours it earned most of those points back.

Handling: 10/10

It has an Autoseal lid. I know a lot of people hate on automatics around here, but this is one you want. The lid automatically seals unless you are pressing the button on the handle. This means that you can pull many lateral g's and no coffee will spill out. You can even do Scandinavian flicks or roll your vehicle and you will likely not spill a single drop of coffee. I can verify the Scandinavian flicks, but not the vehicle rolling. That would depend on the durability of the mug which to this point has gone untested. To test the sealing properties I have held a full mug of coffee inverted and no coffee was spilled. I will also fill the mug with hot water, put the lid on and shake to clean old coffee residue out. Even vigorous shaking has not resulted in leakage. At any rate, handling is 10/10 because it doesn't matter how rapidly you change directions and this mug can pull more g's than an F1 car without spilling. There is one caveat. When making coffee directly into the cup you MUST remember to open the seal as it does just as good a job of keeping coffee out as it does keeping coffee in. Opening the seal is easily done by giving the mechanism a quarter turn which results in the plug hanging open on its hinge. In possibly unrelated news my counter will contain most of a cup of coffee at least.

Value: 9/10

It was about $20 at Walmart. You can buy much cheaper travel mugs which costs it lots of points. But it does a great job keeping your coffee hot and contained so it is worth it.

Overall: 9/10

I know the Exterior rating should pull the overall down more than one point. But its a freaking coffee mug and frankly I don't really care what the outside looks like.

No, definitely not. I didn't try, but I've got pretty good spatial perception and there is no way that this will baby.

If by "Baby" you mean

"Will it keep your alcohol cold enough to drink, thus allowing you to make poor decisions in regard to birth control".

Then, Yes.

I own multiple Contigo mugs.
