There are times that working at a small paper in a small town nestled in the midst of the forest that is British Columbia, has some serious perks, and this was one of those times.
Above you see an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with the pilot in the back seat and me in the front. Good times.
You see, I work for said small paper, and said small town was having a sizeable airshow. The paper being both a sponsor of the show and media, we got a couple trips in planes out of the deal that I was fortunate enough to yoink.
Now I'm rationally scared of heights, and always have a hint of that awful feeling of impending doom when I take off in an airplane, which accompanied through this take off, but once in the air I'm pretty good, so I never told the pilot to go easy, but he didn't do anything really crazy.
Now, I can't really tell you the story of what happened after we took off, because all I really know is we went up then did some spinning about in the air that included stalling, inversions and a flat spin, and then we came back down. All that movement meant I was somewhat discombobulated whilst the acrobatics were going on.
I can tell you however, that at one point I tried to lift the camera I had around my neck to take a picture and found it too heavy to lift. That was a strange sensation.

I know, somewhat, how you feel. I do not like commercial flying because of the crampness. But, a small acrobatic plane would light my fire.
Who put the Go Pro on the wing?

Because it's cool? No idea, but he had a couple more on the plane as well.
