Looks pretty nice and original. I admittedly know little about them so year and generation info is up to our resident expert.

That's ether a series IIA or III. I'm leaning towards III, though maybe Ramblin might know.

Series III, middle run so probably mid 70s. The roofline suggests that it's a UK Landy and not a Santana, which is surprising as you tend to see more license-built Santanas in that part of the world. Those look like AVM locking hubs or a similar design. The front bumper originally came in hot-dip galvanized, so that's probably been replaced aftermarket: it looks like a drawn single piece instead of sections welded together. That's the Deluxe hood, which probably indicates it was ordered with a decently high level of trim, though what that edging on the under side is I don't know.

That's also to my knowledge not a stock color scheme or color for Brits, and actually looks like it might have been repainted by somebody used to painting Santanas (the fields chosen and the stripe across the rear door - Santana rear doors are split).

It's gas (location of exhaust), naturally. The roof is the standard "safari top" put on fancier ones, and is factory. Interestingly, this one was probably imported straight to Hispanic America, as the lights are not NAS spec.

Id say its probably the perfect truck for the terrain. Though is is far outnumbered by toyota corrolas.. The things I have seen a corolla do on this trip are pretty amazing. Ive got a whole new respect for toyota build quality lol

As another observation, repaint or no, that one's been well taken care of and well loved. The rubber mud-flaps are an older type that hasn't been typical for 20 years, the lights are original, and the footstep on the driver side has the rubber worn off (original, and not bent like often happens). Driven regularly, and based on what I can see of the seats, generally doted on. Window frame galvanizing's good condition would indicate probably garaged. He's also done well by not keeping a spare on the back door - that tends to wreck the back door hinges and warp the door over rough ground and long periods.
