Taking Hot Rods back to their roots. It's not a candy apple, overly chromed trailer queen or a rat-rod. (Am I the only getting tired of those?) It looks to be an honest shot at building something you could DD with no regrets about dings and other things that happen on the road. The price is kind of high for what it is, but I still like it.

I'm not sure I'd qualify that as "not a Rat Rod." It's definitely well put together, but it's paintjob is still rust.

But I like your description. For me though, something that will be dd will be something that actually has some modern features. Like disc brakes. Insulation. Seats with seatbelts.

Also, I think the steering wheel slides to let you get out more easily.

It's primer. I've seen some rat rods that were so badly rusted I thought that I would have to get a tetanus shot just from looking at it.

Yeah upon further inspection...
There is this trend though to make bridges etc. pre-rusted. I'm not sure what the technique is but the effect is kind of cool. Like protecting the bridge from rising with a special kind of rust.

Edit: it's called cor-ten steel, and is a special alloy.
