Do you think that these wheels will be able to be used on the next generation (Xbone, PS4)? I mean, they work on all systems now, and PC, and with systems these days keeping USB they should work right?

I bloody hope so. Replacing my Logitech DF GT with something just as good for PS4/XBOne would almost definitely be very expensive indeed.

No guarantee of that. Still annoyed that my Logitech wheels (both USB) don't work with my XBox 360.

Yeah. I'm not going to buy a next gen system (I'm swaying toward the PS4 though, only because they have both Drive Club and GT6, but then again, I've always been a forza fanboy), but I want a wheel to play F1 2012 on my PC. It would seem pretty expensive and room cluttering to get multiple wheels/pedals.

No guarantee but it's possible.

Most likely. Ps4 and xbone won't have compatible wheels, but I have an old ps2 wheel that still works on ps3 and on my pc.

USB console 'wheels should work in a PC no problem.

Very few wheels work on the Xbox360.

Most PC wheels (usb) work on the PS3.

The new consoles are a mystery, no official info. What we know is in both the gamepads of the now previous gen will not work in them.
The current speculation is the current 360 compatible wheels (the very few) will not work in the One, while the currently PS3 supported wheels (practically all) maybe could in the PS4.

GT6 is not going to be released for the PS4 but for the PS3. Cheaper to get if you already own one and if that's the case then it will very much worth the $60 (if you ask me GT5 wasn't).

Which specific one to get depends on if you are planning to wait on official info and, most importantly, how much do you want to spend.

I'd say that info is going to be released in the upcoming months, before the console's release this november/december.
If you want to buy now there are recommendations on each price bracket. The entry level is the DFGT, then comes a used G25 and then a new or used G27, all logitech. About the last one there's a new revision of this one, with a different box and allegedly some improvements). After that the prices of the recommended wheels skyrocket, with Fanatec and Thrustmaster products, and after that the sky is the limit (small companies or even requested job).

Finally, no matter your decision what you have to remember is that the rule of thumb for every wheel is to get one that supports forcefeedback, which is a lot more than just rumble. The very cheapest ones don't cut it and surprisingly some of the G25/G27 competition doesn't feature it.

Probably. I'm waiting to get on xBox 1 until I discover my MS Speed wheel is compatible. I would love me a Fanatec, though.

As long as Yamauchi is running Polyphony, there will be wheels for the PS4.

my money says no current gen peripherals will work on the new machines. they want to sell you new stuff.

A little off topic but I have that Fanatec wheel and they can sometimes be unreliable. Just and FYI.

Its been said Fanatec are looking into it, but word is it doesn't seem likely.

I bailed on mine, sold it on eBay a few months back.

I'll be playing GTA V soon anyways, and can't afford a Xbone at this juncture, just to play Fiveza.

Upgrade your firmware recently? There's been bad ones. The newest, 756 I think, was great until I sold my wheel a month or so ago.

And I had two sets of the cheapie pedals die. One was DOA out of the box brand new, the second one stopped wanting to apply full throttle. Both handled under warranty quickly.

I have the Identical GT2 wheel (same base), and have some problems as well. If only I had the money for a CSR elite setup. right now I'm saving up for the elite pedals, I bought the porsche ones and of course they broke.

I think so, at least I hope so... I love my g27 and would hate it if I had to spend an obscene amount of money to get a newer wheel, just to play on the new consoles. Oh well, GT6 is coming out on the ps3 and that's what matters.

I bought the Elite Pedals and they broke within a month. Happily, they sent me new ones and they have been working good for a while now with only a few brief scares.

What do you mean by that? Do you mean did I buy them when they first came out? If that's your question, then no I bought them last February.

I have the official Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel and am pretty sure it won't work with the One. And that really sucks because I love this wheel and it wasn't cheap.

I bought mine used. I still use it on the xbox, but I wish it had a clutch pedal :( .

They're great! My only real complaints are the reliability issues. Like I said, they broke within a month. Then a week or two ago they stopped working one day and worked fine the next day. But when it's working, it is fantastic. Never had so much fun playing Forza.

Yeah, my GT2 wheel has some weird issues with the mic jack, and the belt squeak quite a bit, and sometimes the wheel has some issues communicating with my xbox, like sometimes if it connects with a setup not at 180*, it detects it as a 90* range. which is extremely touchy.

It's funny you mention the mic jack, because my CSR wheel's mic jack will triple the mic's sensitivity to the point where it can pick up footsteps. It also halves the volume in party chat for my xbox. At first, I thought it was the mic until I realized I only had these problems when it was plugged into the wheel.

I know some people bought an aftermarket pedal set which added the clutch..

I wish it had one too... be much more fun... I love the wheel though, it is solid, durable, and good looking
