We know Cadillac's Elmiraj is a stunning concept, but any hopefuls of a homologated production version might have to wait at least a few more years and sit through more tempting design studies. Here's Cadillac's design manager Niki Smart (no relation to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) describing Cadillac's plans for the Elmiraj.
The Elmiraj is the second in a three part story . The Cadillac Ciel that we showed two years ago was really the first of the three areas that we feel represent the luxury market and what we feel would be the top tier for Cadillac.
That vehicle, "The Journey," was the open top, four seat vehicle. Now this is also a four seat coupe, but it is labeled as a much more spirited driving vehicle. The third vehicle in that would actually be "The Arrival." The story of that vehicle would be a more formal sedan . What we really want to show in this is the bandwidth of the top tier of Cadillac.
From this, it's a possibility that whatever Cadillac plans for its flagship, it will incorporate elements of the Ciel, Elmiraj, and whatever "The Arrival" will be. This would probably mean a coupe, sedan, and convertible version of whatever the final flagship ends up being. It is also possible, given Smart's "bandwidth" statement, that Cadillac will eventually produce production versions of all three.
Then again, Cadillac could already be building a flagship, to which these pipe dreams have little relation to.

Hey morons, you already have a sedan, now move your lazy asses and start building the damn car already, to free up engineers and designers for cars we really care about, like a Cien supercar, a Z4 rival and maybe an ATS hatchback.
