Well, I haven't been out much today, but yesterday on my way into work, I saw a Red Audi R8 (V8 or V10, I know not which) convertible. I've never seen the convertible in red before.
I did, however, see a Tesla Model S today. But I have started seeing those most days, now.

First F Type , Tesla Roadster, tons of Tesla sedans (which, around here, are about as common as Mustangs). Not as interesting as yesterday's Maserati 228 . That's about it so far.

I have pics, may post later.
Then a Mercedes SLS, then a Flying Spur, Ford Model T, 3 c1 Corvettes, an old Ford pickup and a second Gen Mustang. All on one road. Well known for nice cars.

Not today but Wed and Thurs I took a trip down to Annapolis MD. I spotted: R8, NSX, Tesla Model S, Ferrari California (new one), vintage 911, V10 S8, Viper, GT3, V70R, and a classic Ford pickup. All in all not a bad spotting. :)

How rare are Teslas in other parts of the US? Where I live I see one almost every day.

Very.
Where I'm at we see one or two in a great time, and I was near a dealer when I saw this.
I've seen one Model S and 2 roadsters.

The modified Chevy II from this morning's post (see related video post below) that I stalked, but on the way home saw a full on Dale Earnhardt Sr. #3 Monte Carlo with full stickers (even had "3" on each tail light), black wheels, and yellow letter Goodyear NASCAR tires.

Well on my way home I saw Ferraris (F40, Testarossa, a few 458s, a couple 430s, a pretty cool Dino) Lamborghinis (an Aventador I think, a bunch of Countaches) a McLaren MP4-12c, more 911s than you can shake a stick at, I really nice e30 m3, two Bugatti Veyrons... More that I can remember
Oh yeah I live in the Monterey area, and made a little detour through Quail on my commute home.

Besides the Europa from earlier I saw the cleanest b2200 I've seen in about a decade. Brown, slight lift, nothing at all flashy, lawn mower in the back so it's obviously still mostly a tool. Great to see.

I saw an 80 series Land Cruiser and an Evo X. Not much to see in suburban Illinois.
EDIT: Oh, and a first gen RX-7.

A second gen RX-7 convertible, I believe that this is the first time I ever saw one.
Next to a XJ-S, a clean-but-not-perfect Triumph TR6 for sale at my local Dodge dealer, 16 000$. NPoCP?
And, my favorite sight of the day, a turquoise/purple/violet 3 cylinder Geo Metro. A future collectible I'm sure.

But living where I live we see all sorts of interesting cars.
Or this Cobra Reproduction from yesterday.
Or these two Porsches, spotted on the same day...
Or a Jensen Interceptor ragtop...
And the most recent one of these to pull up.
(Last Night)
And even the bottom of a Tesla S, which my smartphone took a stupid picture of...

I was about to call you a liar, then I read the part where you told us where you're at, and I went from wanting to call you a liar to wanting to attack you out of pure, infantile jealousy.
Why no pics?!

Ha ha yeah I didn't get any pics today. I had thought about staopping and walking through through the parking area at the Quail. There was the Ferrari in Gulf livery parked outside the event, but, it was a madhouse and I was pressed for time. I needed to go pick up my daughter at Preschool and traffic is insane.
Plus most of them were driving south into Carmel as I was driving north into Monterey. I hope to score some pictures this weekend, and I may get Concours tickets. (Fingers Crossed)
Here is the best pic I have gotten so far earlier in the week.

Where I am in the Toronto, Canada area (I know you only asked for US, but oh well), I've never seen a Tesla Roadster and only seen 1 Tesla Model S in dark grey.

Audi S4 Avant (B5) on the way home from work.
Sadly, it was on the back of a flatbed with the rear bumper missing. Looked like it got rear-ended.

I've seen three in San Diego total. One on the road, one at Cars & Coffee, and the third I see every day at the office (owned by our CIO).
Took a trip to Seattle a couple weeks ago. Saw 12 in three days, plus a Tesla Roadster. Those Microsoft and Amazon guys love their electric cars.
