I also learned that Makita tools are a "Rip Off!!" and I need to ask them why.

Oh the outhouse trailer. With attached bedroom if I read the listing right. Odd.
As for being a "rip off" well they're pricey tools but rather quite solid and worth the money in my opinion. Now maybe this guy was doing untoward things to him makita tools, broke them, and then trying to get the warranty to cover it and then was "unjustly" rejected and lost that money. Honestly if you want to get good quality power tools Makita (all around good), Milwaukee (cordless stuff good corded better especially the circ saws & sawzall), Bosch (for their routers), Hilti (pricey but best innards), Porter Cable (saws & routers). But all of these are more expensive that what you get from harbor freight or the other cheaper brands (coleman?). So yeah sorry I spent 10 years a carpenter, among other things, and power tools are something I still obsess over.
