Yeah yeah, I know, it's an automatic, and for 85% of the automotive community, saying a car has an automatic is equivalent to saying it spends its evenings smoking reefer with satan. But can you really complain? Its not like it's running your average slushbox from a Camry, but rather a variation of the ZF-sourced 8-speed used in everything from a 1-Series to a Rolls Royce Wraith. That means it'll be smooth and comfy around town, and when you put your foot down, you'll have no issues shifting with the big boys.
So, with that sorted out, we're back to the generous claim from the title - the Audi RS6 Avant is the perfect car. "What? Huh? Is this guy crazy?" Well maybe I am, but think about it, it's German, it's sexy, it's fast, it's really fast, it has one of the most advanced 4WD systems in the world, and it's a wagon . What more could you want?
With numbers like 560Hp, 516 lb-ft, 0-62 in 3.9s, this is a hefty honcho that'll have no issues running with the 458 Italias and SLS AMGs of today's sports car upper class. But to the average passerby it's simply a convenient wagon, effortlessly toting around anything and everything in its voluptuous badonk. Not to mention the Audi costs half as much. Tell me, who wouldn't want that?
I live in the Northeast, so whenever I think about a dream car, reality is always lurking in the background. I mean, this isn't Nappa Valley, this is Boston, there's weather here! So as much as my heart yearns for a Pagani Huayra, my brain (and indeed my wallet) understand that living with a 720HP, RWD hypercar would soon end in a fiery crash at the mercy of a slightly moist side street. But whaddya know, the RS6 has an answer for that too! With Quattro at your back, you'll stick to the road like glue, regardless of whatever crud that may be falling out of the sky. Sure, you may not need 4WD all the time, but you'll appreciate it when you pass a beached 3-series spinning its wheels in a light sprinkling of snow.
So let's recap - It's one of the best-looking wagons on sale today, it can handle itself in precipitation and on a track, it's made by ze Germans, and it's a scowling, grumbling, turbocharged freaking badass. Audi RS6 Avant, you had me at guten Morgen.
Oh, but you can't get one in the U.S. Oops.

All that amazingness isn't cheap though.

Smoking reefer with satan sounds awesome.
Automatic transmissions are not. The rest of what you said is true though. I still like the RS6, but i'd like it more if it let me shift by myself, with a clutch.

"spends its evenings smoking reefer with satan."
Well, we know this automatic does:
(Continental MarkIIIs were offered with only a C6 auto)
The problem I have with an RS6 Avant (even if I could get one) is that, for the price, I could have someone build me a crazy-fast sports car and still have enough money to buy an extremely luxurious 4WD wagon. Neither would be as good overall, but both would be better as a unit.

There is a small issue with the worlds most amazing car.
Its has little market in the world, and no market in the US.

I submit to you that the RS6 Avant is not the perfect car. The perfect car is actually the RS6 Avant.

Correction: the 1991 Ford Festiva is the perfect car.
