Does anyone know how much a speed limiter would cost?

I'm wanting to do a project but I doubt the project's structural integrety so I would want to limit it to 100 mph.

Wouldn't a rev limiter be more useful? It's also easier.

No I'm concerned about how the body will stay together at anything over 100

I have an adjustable shift light in my toy, when lending I've been known to set it down to 4000rpm. It usually does the trick

Couldn't you just, you know, lift off the gas?

Sorry, no, that is blasphemy, forget I mentioned it.

Cheap Solution: Don't drive at felony speeds.

It's more like if someone steals it I want to be able to get the car back in one piece an not twenty.

So wire a kill-switch that disconnects the battery and alternator from the fuse-box. They will need a flatbed to steal it then.

This. It sounds like he is wanting to work in a very round-a-bout fashion.

Speed limiters are rev limiters.
