...Well not nearly this bad! I'm talking about bikes and trying to find a good value (craigs/ebay) used does not exist for someone over 6 feet! I was seriously into Mountain bikes. Like, seriously down a mountain (and over the bars) doing it for real. Yet, 10 years later, a sedentary job and enthusiastic love of all things carb means I need to do something. Remarkably there is a non-elitist riding group in the area and I know one of them so look out for me! Maybe I can find some of those 80's weightlifter stripey suspender-shorts.....

Most likely, I will investigate what a nearly 40 year old guy can accomplish on a bike on weekends with a traveling job and associated airport/hotel/brown-bag food options. (Once again, I'm not that guy in the pic!..)

Wow, it's like I'm looking at me, only it's not really me, but some other dude who's just like me. Over 40, sedentary job & really enjoys getting on a bike. Oh, and is over 6 foot tall. I'm not on my bike nearly as much as I want to be, due to work, kids & other commitments. I tried the riding group last year as well, and, unlike your group, they were a bunch of elitist pricks. What's up with that anyway? Apparently riding with them on my 25+ year old Schwinn isn't up to their standards. I did score the ultimate prize at my church rummage sale, a bike trainer for $2.00, yes two dollars. Now I can try to get some exercise in even when it's raining or too cold in the winter. Hope everything goes well for you, looks like we both could stand to lose a few pounds, judging by your pic. ;)

but...but dude...its not meeeeee..... :)

i can't do the mtn. bike anymore. I have to take it 15 minutes or so down the road and then ride an hour then take it back. 2 kids= garage door open? your hour timer starts now. ride now. start/stop at the garage door. Road bike it is with occasional group ride on a saturday. i never knew how efficient time organization had to become with kids and goals co-existing. The cool thing i'll have to post eventually will be a pic of an OG small rhd mini with a set of bikes on top (once it gets the restoration finished)
