The Parking Lot: My Finds: 8/13/13

This is a new segment in which I scour my local parking lot and take pictures of interesting things. I then post them on here. All these pics are from the same day, but sadly are not of the best quality due to the fact that I took them on a cell phone. Enjoy!

I started out by the local grocery store: Publix. But, before I could even get into the lot, I saw this.

This is a Ford F-150 with two full size canoes (kayaks?) hanging out the back. Now, it is hard to really see perspective here, but they are sticking way out of the parking space. As you can see, the truck is pulled up as far on the concrete as possible. The boats are just sticking out.

I then saw this.

Its a VW Golf with Audi rims on it. As you can clearly see, they are a bit big for the car. Here's a close-up.

How do speed bumps or just turning not scrape the inside of the fender? Also, put any weight in it, and it'll scrape. He ruined the practicality of his hot hatch.

Next, I saw something that was just cool. A VW Scirocco.

It was pretty cool and actually left stock (for the most part). It makes me wish they sold the new one here even more.

The last car was my favorite though.

Its a newer Nissan GT-R. Is it the Black Edition? [UPDATE: NO. IT ISN'T] I'm not actually sure but I think so due to the black rims.

It is such a cool car and honestly is one of my favorite sports (super?) cars ever built. Even though this one was bit dirty, it was still beautiful.

I cannot believe they parked it so close to other cars. I was expecting it to be hiding out in the back taking up two spots. Its good to see a nice sports car driver. I wish he/she was there, I'd love to talk to them.

Thanks for reading and I'm sorry for the poor picture quality. I will be doing this segment from time to time and hope maybe some of you will also be doing it. I don't understand why some of pictures are different sizes. I took them all at the same time on the same phone with the same settings. But, you get the point.

I could be wrong, but black edition GTR's come with 5 spoke wheels...?

I think its a Normal GTR with black wheels, painted or just came that way maybe?

There's actually one at that parking lot where I took the pics today that is there every day. They work at one of the stores. Its original yellow with chromed hubcaps. I gotta get a pic of it next time. But its cool that there is one in that picture too.

You are right. I just went on Nissans site and only Black Edition ones have the 5 spoke wheels. Also, the Black Edition has a black, carbon fibre spoiler, not a body colored one.

I knew there were some weird difference about it.

Still nice to see one in public, I have seen a few on the streets, raced one on the highway, and he didn't exactly walk away from me....Until he went WOT.....

I've seen some at car shows, one specifically had a plate saying 1K-WHP or soemthing like that.....It ripped out of the show at the end.

I love seeing cars driven to shows like that, and someone driving a GTR is awesome.

Thats an older GTR. It has no LEDs on the front.

Good point... didn't notice that
