2000 Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya will not return to Earnhardt Ganassi Racing w/ Felix Sabates in 2014, but may stay in the Ganassi family outside of NASCAR (READ: IndyCar or USCR). With no successor named, the #42 Chevrolet is open. More on this as it develops.

He was an attempt at bringing diversity to now empty NASCAR stands. Hope he finds success elsewhere, because NASCAR is still continuing its decline.

Speculation time: His idea or Chips? Did JPM just get bored and want to spend more time with Connie, the kids and his RC planes?

Felix's. Chip and Target like him but Sabates was just about done fielding a car that struggles to remain in the top 25 in the standings.

Makes sense. I forgot about Felix. He doesn't make that much noise. Be good to see JPM racing, but not sure if he would want to go back to Indycar.
