Alright you mouthbreathing jackasses, one last time.

Kinja'd!!!

When you're in your car, in traffic, merging onto one roadway from another roadway using what's commonly known as an "entrance ramp"(which is typically a single lane), you DO NOT decide the process is going too slowly for your tastes, pull to the left, and pass the vehicles ahead of you in order to merge, especially if it forces the car ahead of you that's at the end of the merge lane and preparing to enter the flow of traffic at highway speed to perform relatively high-speed evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision with your chickenfucking self.

Seriously, this is the behavior of inbred puppy kickers who enjoy licking the sweat out of their mother's arm pits and it MUST STOP.

I don't know how this trend started, or if it's just another indication that our society is nothing more than a collection of self-absorbed rogues with no sense of community or the belief that one is a member of an ordered, civic society, but next time it happens (I can think of at least FOUR instances in just the past couple of months when someone has pulled this stunt on me), if I'm alone in the car I'm going to allow the accident to happen. Seriously, assholes.

I also hate impatient people behind you when you're waiting to make a left at a signal and they just go make the turn from behind you, going over the double yellow line at the same time and temporarily in the wrong way of traffic.

This morning on my way to work, one particular chickenfker who was already going 35 mph on the on-ramp, decided to slow to 20 mph! on the on-ramp with a big rig bearing down on us. I had to pull around the left because, well, I don't like big rigs sniffing up my ass.

There should be a wall that gradually declines so once you are able to see where you are merging you can begin to make your move after the line when its your turn. The white zebra lines that just mean don't drive here does not prevent self important assholes from going for it.

I had a douchebag in a Beetle cabriolet do that to me this morning. Yeah buddy, I'm sure you just can't wait to feel the surge of power from your massive 1200cc engine.

I have a cloverleaf interchange on my commute, and I purposely create a huge gap between myself and the person in front of me, because too many times I've been trying to judge the flow of the traffic I'm merging into only to look ahead and find the person in front of me STOPPED IN THE MERGE LANE. It's a very long cloverleaf so it's easy to create distance without backing up traffic behind me, and the merge lane is stupidly short so stopping on it basically grinds the entire interchange to a halt.

Holy shit, people do that?! That's even worse than all the other crazy things people do to get to their destination 2 seconds sooner.

Near Chicago, I've had it done to me once. I've just seen it before that.

Edit - this is said maneuver at 11:15

I really only see this when the lead car is not moving quickly enough to allow anyone behind them to merge easily. The lead car should always strive to be going as fast as the traffic it is merging with. Slowing down as the lead REALLY screws those behind, especially slower vehicles.

I do this because people suck at merging and merge at like 45mph under the limit and you wont be able to merge with them when there is a car coming up behind.

I like to get over there as soon as traffic allows, regardless of the line's shape. Difference is I let every other car on the ramp merge in front of me, then worry about passing. Pay it forward.
