Yo dawg, I heard you like torquesteer, so I put some torquesteer in your torquesteer. That way you can understeer off the road while you understeer off the road.

Ways to reduce torque steer: wikipedia
Do they make no sidewall tires yet?

Seems like a good idea to me. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
Other than torque steering into a ditch and exploding into a giant fireball that is. :D

Never driven an ST, have you? It has motors in the steering column to automatically counteract the torque steer.
I wonder if this system will cope with the extra motor. Even if not, it should just be a normal amount of torque steer.

Would be fun, but I haven't driven one. I think I remember in a print article about that nifty little feature. I'd rather not have it though.

I'm surprised the ST has such low and dramatic torque peak. I can imagine with a good cam and appropriately sized intake (also not sure how small the turbo is, but that might limit being able to move air fast at higher RPMs if its too small) you could push that torque a little higher into the powerband for massive power gains.
The 2l Ecoboost is quite the motor.

I test drove one and it does't seem to dampen the torque steer, or if it does then damn I don't want to see how bad it would be without the system.

I remember driving my uncle's Opel Vectra 2.5 with arround 300lb-ft of torque.
It didn't end well..

It felt pretty transparent when I autocrossed one, didn't miss anything. Might have been all the sim racing, but felt natural.

The ST has electric power steering, right?

I believe so, which was how they dampened it. The variable ratio on it is going to be the annoying bit, not the torque steer cancellation.

I saw one of those tilted on it's side at PRI last year and it looked like it had a two part cv shaft on the long side, to effectively give it equal length shafts. They also have LSDs, right?
Between those two things, I would think it would have very manageable torque steer.

Jeez. If they made that AWD, it would make me crap my pants.

The plan was to have the extra torquesteer counteract the initial torquesteer.

A lot of folks are saying the weak point in the car is the intercooler and Intake and people are seeing good gains from that. I would like to go that route, but for now I want to stay in G-Stock (can reflash to stock tunes for races) for awhile before I move back to STX

So, I have an A5 with an APR tune that bumped up HP to about 270 and torque to almost 340 lbs/ft. AWD and about 300 lbs heavier, but I will say that she definitely goes like stink. The AWD lets me get on the throttle immediately out of a turn, then away we go. I say, skip the ford hatchback, get a 2008 or 2009 A5 for the same price as a new ST and call it a day.

The Diff is electronic, not sure the details otherwise but stock torque is very manageable

Hmm, having it happen on the Nurburgring, after a wild day at an Oktoberfest party with even wilder after-party nocturnal activities with a very attractive member of the opposite gender (or the same gender if that's what you go in for)?
