It pains me to this day that my dad never followed through with getting one. There was one on sale locally a few months back with less then 600 miles. But it had never been registered and had VAT had to be payed.
Needless to say it would have worked out far too expensive for a weekend car.
I still dream about it

I'd find a way to justify it as a DD, or at least a few weekdays per week in addition to weekends.

Having driven one all of about a few hundred feet (I worked at a Ford dealership and some corporate guys came by with one to show off on their Midwest tour, and it needed a bath) I can definitely say it's quite the experience, and is way up there on my list of cars to hopefully someday own. Admittedly though it's behind a MP4-12C Spider on that list.
