I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme that is all original except for one repaint, wheels, and steering wheel. The wheels will soon be going back to original. Still have my eyes out for an original steering wheel. Anywho... The car is originally from NC so I put a 1972 NC plate on the back and went and made a 72-73 inspection sticker as well to keep up that time capsule look. I didn't punch out a month, and it should be a bright green, but the printer is out of yellow ink so this is a test run. I will also be neater with the tape next time.

I uh... borrowed an image. http://inspectionsticker.net/index.php?main…

Then recreated it in Photoshoppe by tracing over it to clean things up. I put my 72 NC plate in the box on the bottom. Redid some of the text and adjusted the proportions of the fonts till they came close enough to the original. It looks good, but not too perfect. I think in the next iteration I will make the license number look more like it was hand typed in there, make it a bit crooked.

Here's the plate FYI. ( fuller size here )

Well played.

On the other hand, some of us lazy sorts have a real inspection sticker from about 10 years ago still in the windshield of one of our cars :)

Yes! Wilmer Mizell. Also played a bit of baseball.
