Powderhound posted a bit about the Subaru Attic overnight and I saw a glimpse of the Subaru "Deltawing" in the background. Who knew that they were years ahead of the game? It turns out that back in 1980 Subaru was experimenting in high efficiency and made a one-off, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . During testing it achieved 100mpg at an average of 55mph. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! had a lot of errors, but more pictures. The first link I have is to the later short article which corrects a lot of the errors.
