I was doing a replay of this and I got bored and stopped. It felt like just a bunch of running around solving everyones boring problems. Any tips to make it more fun? I tried going with a pure sniper character build. I thought that might spice it up but I find myself starting a quest and its do this okay now run over there and do this to be able to finish that. Not very satisfying. But sniping peoples heads off is still neat.

Funny, I just got to that point in Fallout3 after getting the game as a present years ago.

Sort of car related: in the previous Fallout games (can't remember if it was 1 or 2) I saved all my microfusion cells for the car instead of using it as ammo.

Tips for fun?

Avoid the story. Wander; explore. Random events happen all the time. Same suggestion for if you're running out of energy in playing Skyrim.

I've replayed it a few times, and everytime I made alternate choices. I'd say just skip the mainquest. If you want to do something interesting, assuming you haven't gotten there by now, go find Vault 119 on your own. It skips a HUGE chunk of the story, which is interesting.

The other thing to do is just focus on sidequests that you haven't done, or explore randomly. There's all sorts of crazy things that go on throughout the wasteland, and some interesting sidequests that aren't so much 'go fetch this'. Some that come to mind are the quest at Canterberry Commons (?) with the super heros, Oasis, Little Lamplight (may be part of the main quest, I don't remember), getting Lincoln's head...

Do you have all the DLC? I played Point Lookout until I completed everything, that occupied a good portion of time and was pretty different from the capital wasteland.
