So, I've been telling some of you about how I've been pursuing the purchase of a 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S convertible (red, 22re engine, white top, original factory wheels, in outstanding shape, 90k original miles on it).
I'm very pleased to say that the current owner and I have come to an agreement, and I'll be taking delivery of the car sometime this week. I'm just waiting for a check someone wrote me for some automotive work I did for them to clear. I've also got people coming out today and tomorrow to look at purchasing my Audi, and worse comes to worse payday from the day job is this coming Friday.
It has been owned by a fellow classic Japanese car enthusiast since it was new. The seller has a couple Datsun Zs, an RX-7 convertible, an RX-3 and a cherry Z32. His wife is making him get rid of one of his cars. I'm so happy he chose to sell the very car I've been looking for.
I don't have any high quality pics of the car just yet (those will be forthcoming once I take delivery of the car), but here's one to start (it's actually in even better condition than the pics let on!).
I'll throw up a bunch of pics once I get the car, but until then I'm so excited I can't stand it. Not just a dancing goose excited, full on Neil-Patrick-Harris-dancing-with-Elmo excited.
