Answer: V ery awesome. I submit the above video as evidence.
The driver - Jean "Jeannot" Ragnotti: Renault rally driver, beat the Audi Quattro at the 1981 Monte Carlo Rally in his Renault 5 Turbo, scoring the first ever victory at a WRC rally event for a turbocharged car. Known for doing sweet 360 spins and being a general badass on asphalt rally stages.
The Car - Renault Clio Williams Maxi: Based on the Clio Williams, the hotted up version of the Clio I introduced in 1990, the Clio Williams Maxi was built for rallying with upgraded suspension, bigger breaks, 250 hp tuned engine, 6-speed manual and lots of other go-fast goodies.
"But wait!" You might be thinking to yourself, "sure FWD is ok for rallying, but I don't drive off-road!" Well, you've got some attitude problem, mister. And, Mr Ragnotti here is driving on asphalt stages, that means public, paved roads like you and I (could potentially) drive on. (But please do not go driving on public roads like this!)
We place a higher value on 4WD and RWD cars because of what they can do, because of their motorsport heritage, because these are the best setups for shaving seconds off of lap times and creating world-beaters. But since when has being an enthusiast and liking a car had anything to do with what's best on the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ?

Just remember, you can have fun in any car, and even the lowly FWD has a place in motorsport and our garages.

I think that's part of the problem with FWD. You have to start pushing to have some decent fun with them. That's also more or less the problem with AWD. RWD tends to be fun all the time.

That's generally true. I've owned all 3, currently own a FoST. It will oversteer, but only going pretty fast and lifting off the throttle while going into a turn (autoX). The RWD cars I've had you could slide a little sideways leaving a stop sign if you wanted. Not that I advocate that.
I do find the small FWD cars like the ST are more nimble, turn quicker, and go through the slalom faster than a lot of heavier RWD cars.

But it ain't...the problem with a properly set up (or made) FWD car.
