The "white elephant" is a special TVR built peronally for peter wheeler, the then owner of TVR, with a holden V8 super car engine, and custom body work. the car was later abandoned and restored from 2004-2012 by TVR super fans

My grandfather owns a 280i which i love, and have even gotten to drive now, i have a question do you have any sources that you know of for parts? like bushings mainly, but really anything. He also needs the factory decals.

And do you have any stories? I gotta hear all about it, do you own a TVR?

No- I don't own one—but I did drive every 280i that came in the country. (East Haddam-later East Hampton Ct.) I was the national service director-I did everything the pre dealer inspections to flying to dealers to fix the problem the tech couldn't.

Any part needed should be availible with a little research-most parts came from other cars. I haven't followed them in a while, but I know they have a good owners club that should help with searching out anything.

Joke: whats TVR stand for? Two vehicles required!

Any history on gramps car? Year-color-what dealer it came from? I not only probably drove his car-I might have even stamped the vin numbers on it.

Wow, its brown on brown on brown, an 87 i believe, but he got it used from a dealer in Hershey in around 92, so no idea where it came from originally..

That is the coolest thing ever though, and ive been looking around and have found some stuff out of the country.

Yea-Pa was a big area for them. (The salesman was fron King of Prussia)

The were out of my price range when new-and never thought about it much later on. Only one I'd want was my old company car/test mule. Which was....an 87 Brown /biscuit interior. Hmmm-ask gramps if he has to turn on the igniton to pop the truck or not. If no key required, you may have gotten a special car. (Going from 28 year memory)-last 4 numbers in the vin 9229?

Nothing major-just any little trick that I came up with got tried on my mule 1st. I just remember wiring the truck hot (stock you needed the key) off the top of my head.
