Although I did join Grand Theft Oppo.
I had GTA V from the day it came out, finished it in 2 or 3 days and didn't bother playing it afterwards. I never cared for the idea of GTA Online either, but today I tried it for the first time. It's even worse that I anticipated. Unless we can get a load of cool Oppo people online for a session, I ain't playing this shit anymore.

I haven't bought the game yet. How did you find the story? Also, you finished the game in a couple days? How many hours to finish?

Yeah, GTA Online is a lot more fun with friends.
I don't do free roam goofing around unless it's an invite only session, and I only do jobs using the quick job function.

I know that feeling, I played alone for a few hours and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I really think it's only fun if you get a good group of people together.

It took me 2 whole days. I had a few days off when GTA came out so I'd just sit down after getting up, play for a few hours, go out for dinner and keep on playing until late night, usually with some sort of pleasure booster (read: alcohol). I believe it took me 2 days of playing like that and I didn't rush it too much (although I did focus on the main story, I'm not much of a faffing around guy in GTA).
The story was OK, but as usual with GTA nothing to write home about. It's just there to stick together the characters' genocidal bursts. I wasn't sold on teh 3 characters thing in the beginning, but they made it work.

The straw that broke the camel's back came when after a flawless drive I was about to win a race against much more experienced opponents (I was level 4, they were all over 40), but on the last straight I got hit by one of the other idiots who stayed back just to ruin my race. I ended up finishing second because he managed to pin me down for 10-15 secs.

In theory there's a lot to do (unlike in GTA IV). Thing is, I only launched the game once after finishing it. Online wasn't up yet and the faffing about side missions didn't really pull me in.
By far the most disappointing bit are the driving physics though. I loved GTA IV because driving was both a challenge and a pleasure. The simplified Saints Row like driving in V took away half of the game for me.

That'd just about do it for me as well. I vaguely recall one time where somehow I was matched up in a 2 vs. 1 deathmatch. I put up a good fight but it's two of them against one of me. Of course, I lost.
That was one of the last times I played.
