Why not? The 500 is like bacon, it comes in many flavors, and you can use it from the appetizer to the dessert.

I actually think this is quite a good idea. The 500 name carries a lot more weight - figuratively, of course - than the ailing Punto brand, and FIAT have been in desperate need of a decent entry in the supermini class for years.
That said... I really hope it doesn't look like that. Perhaps it's just me, but that thing is bloody ugly. Particularly when you compare it to the current Punto, pre or post facelift.

Not trolling, but that looks so similar in shape to the base Honda Fit it's crazy. That being said, if it was made into Abarth form I would cop.
