Kinja'd!!!

I am currently at the tail end of my factory warranty for my 2010 Audi A4 as shown above with 1K left on the odometer. Does anyone have any advice on where I may be able to get an Audi extended warranty? Does that even exist? I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and find out but I am also reaching out to you guys to see if I get more info from you than the dealer.

-FYI i have searched on the Audi site but only found extended regular maintenance packages.

Also is that something I should look into as well? Especially since I will be doing some big preventive maintenance jobs pretty soon?

Any and all info is much appreciated!

You should of received plenty of mail by now of various after market extended warranty companies. Do a little research on them. Once you decide, you're going to have to do a little negotiating for coverage and pricing (deductible, etc.) I use Warranty Direct. Took my 2009 Chevy truck in for a front axle seal the other day, they covered it :]

I have been getting extended warranties for my Audis for years. They really pay for themselves. DO NOT get one of those after market ones, go through Audi dealers. There are several plans but I recommend the Silver Plan in 2,3,5 year options.

Get the best price by getting quotes from all the Audi dealers in your area and negotiate down. Some dealers mark up to 100% so there is plenty of room to negotiate down.

Good luck.

Sell it to Carmax. Drive a rental for a couple weeks. Keep an eye on online Carmax listings. Once your car pops up for sale, drive to a different Carmax and ask about 2010 Audi A4's. Have them search their network and when they show you the options, pick the one you just sold to the other Carmax and buy it back, but this time add the Extended Warranty.

I've never actually bought one, but I've investigated aftermarket warranties a couple of times. It was a few years ago, and in the UK market, so maybe not quite the same as you'll be looking at, but I noticed that you had to check the details very carefully to find out what would and wouldn't be covered under any particular policy - it wasn't anything like as standardised as I'd expected.

About the price of something going wrong on an Audi.
