It was the SVE Chin Spoiler from Latemodelrestoration.com!

What a gorgeous car. I've got a bit of a soft-spot for fox-bodies, which is big coming from a European :)

Nice photography on the LX. I assumed it was a professional stock photo before reading.

I appreciate it man! To give you some credit Jack Telnack was the head of Ford Europe's Design department and returned stateside in 1976. Just in time to influence the design of the 1979 Mustang by giving it the more European look!

That might be why I take a shining to it then.

Thinking about it, my absolute favourite American car is the Corvair, which is also the most European American car ever built (so European it started a bit of a design revolution over here; just look at the Hillman Imp).

Wow! There is definitely a huge influence there. I had no idea of the actual European influence of the Fox Body until I read thru the new 50th Anniversary Mustang book.
This is the man himself with the Fox Concept:

One of the early sketches:

Us American's must really like the European design, because the Fox stuck around for 14 years and many of us still love them today! Thanks Europe!

That sketch looks brilliant. Can you imagine if the production car was that wild?

On the other hand, it would probably have a bit less blue-collar cool that makes the fox-body so great.

It is pretty sweet looking! Probably would've ended up something like this:

I love looking at never-were mustang proposals. This one for the Mustang 2 caught my eye:

Kinja'd!!!

It's based on a longer chassis than the Pinto one that was finally used, and it really helps sort the proportions out. Not a bad looking thing at all.

That is a pretty attractive pony car! The 70's influence is there without a doubt!

The Arnold and Rambo concepts for the SN-95 are my two favorites:

Rambo:

The Arnold was pretty close to the prodiction model, but the Rambo was absolutely wild!
