All the images on Gawker sites don't show on my work PC any more. I opened one in its own tab and got this message.
(I can see the pic if I get rid of the i.kinja-img.com part, and just use the plain img.gawkerassets.com URL, but still.)

I noticed it earlier this week. It's the new image service Gawker is using. As of then, it was only being used on a few of the Gawker sites. Since then, I am seeing more of these URLs across other sites.

That is why I always use cellular on my phone for "those links."

The text mentions security threat, not inappropriate content. Perhaps some other Kinja sites, or user's personal pages, were being used to serve up bad content? You could always open a ticket and ask for it to be allowed again.
Also, do you really visit NSFW sites at work? Sounds like a good way to lose your job...

It was a joke more than anything else. "NSFW links broke my work computer," ha ha funny.
I don't think I'm going to open up a ticket asking the help desk to pretty please fix the sites I look at while I'm wasting time.
