Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills. Having a relative who is autistic I know first hand how it affects everybody in the family and the parents especially. A little over a week ago I got an email from my buddy about the awareness drive and had to take a part in it. After a bunch of emails to the person running the event we were invited to take part in the drive. The folks at the Driving force car club host the Autism Awareness Toy drive yearly in association with the Autism Medical Center in Warren NJ. They are an exclusive club so it was real nice of them to have us tag along in relatively normal cars.

Here are some images from the event and I apologize in advance for the quality of images, had just my phone to work with. I will be editing this article as and when I get links to the images and video other people shot yesterday.

Sweet! As a parent of an autistic child, getting support from various organizations can be a real morale builder at times. The material forms of support aren't bad either, good to read this.
