ok I kind of understand, but could you please tell me the underlying reason for buying suv over another form factor?

I'm not trying to be a dick, I just have a hard time thinking outside my garage (turbo miata + hybrid car)

Do they drive off road a lot?

Well...in Jalop world there is no "good" reason for a compact crossover. But this is a business for me I get folks into a car they want for a good price. So if someone comes to me and says, I want to buy a Q5 or an X3 or something I'm not going to tell them they should get a wagon. I will shop similar vehicles and find them the best value.
